14. Perceptive Insight 2

from Percieve by Julius Schmidt

/

about

This classical improvisation was actually improvised at the piano, with no preparation beforehand.

This is the second improvisation of the fifth section of the set: Perceptive Insight. It is a truly special improvisation, setting different motifs from the left and right hands against each other. It has a short, chordal middle section before returning to the contrasting motifs.

The improvisation ranges from soft and delicate to strong and powerful, and ends in the "wrong" key (similar to "Illuminating Perception 2"), ending in the key of "Perceptive Insight 3", thus even though it is a complete Improvisation in and of itself, it nonetheless also subtly leads into "Perceptive Insight 3".
